FAQs
What payment modes are available?
New payment methods are coming soon! Stripe is our initial integration and is highly reliable. We’re working hard to facilitate as many payment options as possible and as quickly as we can. Stay tuned!
Who is responsible for the shipping costs?
The shipping costs are covered by the buyer. The seller enters the cost of shipping their item when they upload it into the platform. JUNGA provides estimations of this cost based on the main shipping and parcel transport providers available in the Netherlands. It is the responsibility of the seller to ensure the shipping cost they publish actually covers their expenses. We encourage our sellers to check the most convenient options and their prices before listing their items.
See shipping ratesWhy is there a fee on each sale?
The "JUNGA fee" is a service charge paid by the buyer to help keep the platform running. It is a small percentage (8%) over the price of the item that ensures we can take care of the expenses of bringing JUNGA to users as well as keep it safe and updated with the best marketplace features.
Can I meet with the buyer to collect my purchase?
The buyer will select what options they want to offer when they list an item. They can offer both to meet in person or to ship the item, or just one of them. You can see the options available for an item at the top right of the product's page, under "delivery method".
Does Junga have a physical store?
Yes, we have a super nice shop at MONO Boulder Gym (Geerweg 17, 6717 LE Ede, Netherlands). There, you can try on, sell or buy our pre-loved items as well as connect with your outdoor and climbing friends—all while enjoying a great cup of coffee!
You can deposit your pre-loved items at MONO so they can be discovered in person by a potential buyer, besides uploading them in our platform. Any item you want to leave at MONO to be sold needs to be listed in JUNGA as well. Once there is a buyer, we will ask them to purchase the item through JUNGA and you will receive the money. Hassle free!
How can I be a top seller?
There are a few tips you can follow to get to be one of the top sellers in the platform and ensure your listings are found by as many users as possible. This will increase significantly your chances of closing a sale:
- Take high quality pictures: Most phones and cameras nowadays take pictures in high resolution, make sure you upload original pictures whose quality has not been reduced or modified. Make sure your pictures are:
- well framed,
- not blurry,
- properly lit,
- show the whole item.
- Upload at least 3 pictures:
- Show your pre-loved item from different angles (for example, front, side and above).
- We recommend to also take some close-ups of important details like size/care labels, imperfections or signs of use, performance advantages, complex parts, branding, etc.
- Avoid adding stock photos from the manufacturer's site. If you do add them, make sure you always include your own pictures as well. Buyers want to see real items!
- Use synonyms in your item's description and title:
- In the title, use the main word to describe your item (e.g.: "book", "harness", "shirt"...) and the brand, if you know it.
- Use a wide variety of words to describe your item. This will increase the chances of it being found by many potential buyers.
- Include in the description keywords that you would use if you were searching for something like that in a marketplace or in the internet.
- Research how different manufacturers or field professionals call that in their own sites or even on social media.
- Add your own personal story: what memories do you have of using it? what adventures did you have with it? Create a personal connection with your potential buyers.
Does Junga have a mobile app?
Not yet. During this testing phase, everything is handled quickly and easily through our web app. When the time is right and we can support more transactions, we’ll begin developing a dedicated mobile app.
